Message	I don't understand how a girdle can break and not the main caps. It would seem the block would have to flex to break the girdle. If the block flexed then the main bearings would have been toast because the main alignment would change. The main bearings look perfect from the pictures. Here is my theory..I am thinking the rod broke and broke the girdle. The piston came down farther than it suppose to with the broken rod and got decapitated by the crank. The rod fragment broke the girdle. Mike Mike
